This was fascinating to watch the weaving process. It is nice to see them carry on tradition like this. That boy is very good at weaving. I like the indian music in the background along with the narration. It really set the mood of the video.

Its great to see how they are keeping their traditions alive and passing it on to their youth. In today's age, many people choose to forget their heritage in favor of the American way of life, which has no traditions other then spending money.

This is a great video. I like how the music related to what the video was about.

I like this Navajo Weaving, its important to continue on traditions, and it is not for anyone to say who or how it began except that is what is taught.

No matter where it came from, it's always good to keep tradition alive.

I liked the video. At homes we have dozens of these Navajo woven rugs, my mother really loves them. Maybe improve on the volume of the interview next time though.

It looks difficult to make these rugs.

I also really liked the close up shots that showed us the unique details of making rugs, and the textures, colors, and the challenges of threading through al of the vertical ropes. The drum was a nice sonic touch too.

I liked hearing about the history of rug weaving by the boy's mother while I watched him make his stripes. The sound of the instrument he used to push down the yarn is very interesting, and I would guess only heard in relation to this process. So, that makes it very special. It would be very cool to track the boy down, as you said, to see how his rug making has matured. I liked how you captured his intense focus as he worked. Very nice. |
